Street Fighter 4 Hands-On
The lucky bunch at Kotaku were able to get a hands on demo of Street Fighter 4, getting a chance to go head-to-head as all 12 of the original bunch plus the 4 additional, new characters.
Here are the highlights of their review:
- Tight gameplay that, excitingly, had the same gameplay feel of the 2D SF games.
- Might be too safe: characters are basically the same and the additions are limited in number
- El Fuerte was the most popular “new” character with lightning quick moves
- Fat boy Rufus is a “joke character” but can seriously hold his own
- The sexy Crimson Viper may be the easiest for new players to play with out of the box
- Abel seems much like Zangief. He is less powerful but has the awesome ability to pluck opponents out of the air for grappling moves while they are in the middle of attack.
- Fantastic animation, gorgeous motion
- Nostalgic blend of new and old
